A colleague of mine has a G4 15" 1.25 Ghz Powerbook with 512M of RAM installed by default. They now need to spend a lot more time with iMovie and Photoshop CS2... and they need some more RAM.
There budget is limited but they are able to source Corsair 512MB DDR-333 SO-DIMM for 80 AUD. Is this sufficient? Do they need to purchase slower RAM for the Powerbook to guarantee compatibility/performance?
Thanks.

I believe this is your PowerBook:

If that is the case, then ya, doubling the RAM in that will help out a lot. It will still probably be a little slow, compared to more modern machines, but the RAM will should give it a good boost over it's current performance.
Which RAM DIMM for a 15" G4 1.25 Ghz Powerbook
