Which kind of keyboard do you want in the new MacBook Pro? The metal one that Apple uses now, or the chiclet keyboard that Apple uses in the MacBook and the MacBook Air? The keyboard on the MBP now is probably one of the best on any laptop, and I hate the chiclet keyboard. I really hope that they keep the current design.

I'm a big fan of the MacBook/Air keyboard. I love the design, the feel, the feedback. I guess I'm used to it now, but I prefer it to even the legendary Thinkpad keyboard.
-
I love Macbook's/Air keyboard. Even though I don't really care that much about the keys, I'd prefer having those. I voted the second option.
-
I'd keep it the same; I think its the best in the business
-
the new keyboard should look like the same but more color options and can change color, same with m15x/m17x
-
But yeah the Macbook \ Air boards are awesome for typing on -
Air Keyboard is nice.
-
I'd love it if they'd make the arrow keys the same size as the other ones...
-
my thoughts are that the current keyboard lets a lot more ventilation through than the macbook one, anyway i voted for the current one.
m15x keyboard lights look cool... -
The MBP's keyboard is nice and all, but it's a bit "mushy" in pressing the keys. Sometimes I press a button but it doesn't register. I'm using Apple's Aluminum thin keyboard that has the same chiclet-style keys as the MB/MBA and I find it much easier to type on without having to worry about wether I missed a key or not.
It all depends on user preference. -
numpad, please!

Keep the current one. I don't mind the Macbook one, but the Powerbook/MBP one still feels better to me.
Not sure what you mean by "metal" though (in the poll), they're plastic like any other keys... metal-colored perhaps -

I also voted for the current MBP keyboard. I've never had response problems and find it has the perfect feedback for me. I don't find it mushy, although after nearly 2 years, the keys are softer than they were when they were new, but still okay.
My only complaint is that it seems like some of the paint on the keys is wearing off, particularly my "s" key. It's mainly around the lighted "s" letter. Probably the interface between where they let the light through and the rest of the plastic is a bit weaker. -

I hope they keep it the same as right now. -

I terms of the keyboard being reused in the 15.4" and 17" models, it's probably a cost saving measure on the part of Apple. To avoid designing and maintaining so many different types of keyboards. I'm pretty sure in the Powerbooks, the 13", 15" and 17" all shared the same keyboard. Just that the 13" didn't have any speaker grills on the sides, while the 17" had extra larger ones to fill the space. Apple just isn't that big a manufacturer and while the MBP line may be selling very well, when you split keyboard design and manufacturing between the 15 and 17" models, the volumes probably aren't there anymore. -
I hate the MB/MBA keyboard. It's just awkward to type on.
-
The 17" mbp's speakers are very nice. -

I've taken apart the 17" and 15" before and yes it does have 4 speakers as to the 2 on the 15". -

I'm not an acoustic engineer, but I would think larger speakers would be better since it would allow larger deflection of the speaker cone. 4 smaller speakers might be louder, but it would probably have a smaller frequency range and sound worse.
To tie things back to the keyboard, I wonder if there is a better place to put the speakers so that the extra width on the 15.4" model can be given over to the keyboard maybe allowing for a numpad. Maybe they could place them on top and bounce the sound off the screen. Although I like the current speaker/keyboard layout since it's clean and symmetrical, which is lost if a numpad is added. -
