Apparently I have Opera installed in my new MBP. Where it came from I have no idea! It shows up when I right-click on certain documents as a "open with" program. I'd really like to remove it but I can't find it.

    I believe Norway. j/k

Anyway, does anyone have access to your computer, or is it possible that you tried it out one time and deleted it? Sounds odd.

What I find in spotlight is an Opera.gif file. I would never have downloaded Opera and I've been guarding this computer with my life. No one's touched it haha..

When I right-click to open something two of the options are:
    Opera (9.20)
    Opera (9.10)

    ugh..

Apparently I do have Opera because it opens the files in the Opera browser. How it got in my computer I have no idea. Unless it came with Leopard.

I can't find Opera in the hard drive. Is there a good program for Macs to make sure that I uninstall everything Opera (once I locate it)?

Please let me know if you guys have any idea on how to locate the program.

    Thanks

    Definitely AppDelete.

As for actually finding the files, try out HoudahSpot.

    It comes with Adobe CS3

Do you have Adobe CS3 Installed ?

A good way to locate your Opera:
Open any thing in Opera, now Opera Icon should be in your Dock.
Right click on the Opera icon in your dock, then "show in finder".

You're absolutely right. I just looked that up. Apparently Dreamweaver from Adobe CS3 installs the Opera "mini" browser?

Is there a way to remove certain programs like Opera from the "open with" list when right-clicking on documents? Thanks!

Hmm, maybe it does that to allow you to check how your website looks on Opera...maybe I'm wrong, just a wild guess :p.
