I was planning on getting one of those sleeves for mine and then putting the thing in a bag with the sleeve on. I'm looking at these laptop messanger bags from timbuk2.com. They aren't bad, quite pricey though...

I can only tell you that the sleeves suck if you really wanna protect it! On the corners, the zipper of a sleeve is very hard. if you even gently hit a corner, the zipper won't easy the impact, on the contrary, it will put a dent in the corner!

in my eyes this is a real design flaw!

I know have this thing calles iSaver Shell. Far more sturdy and protective of the corners. Easily slips into a normal backpack! Exactly what I wanted!

yep. I just bought a brain bag and brain cell. Supposedly, the combination of the two and the suspension system make for really good protection.

One thing about the Brain Bag though, the bag itself has very little protection, so you'll need a sleeve of some sort for your laptop even if you don't use the brain cell.

The Brain Cell offers the best protection . The compartment in the Bag has straps that suspend the Cell in the middle for more protection. If you use some other laptop sleeve, you lose the suspension.

    http://www.axio-usa.com/

How come nobody mentions this hard case (laptop sleeve) by Axio? Looks like the best possible protection you can get from a sleeve. All other sleeves are soft and you can still dent your laptop even if you have the sleeve inside another bag.

Click on Products > Laptop Cases > the case on the right for the MBP. Looks awesome and that is what I will get when I order my MBP.

I like that Axio case a lot. Eighty dollars is a bit pricey but it looks really nice. I just might go with that.

havn't got mine yet but far as i know the brain cell is a hard case. padded inside, fabric outside, but solid casing in the middle. no idea about how water repellent it is, but personally i wouldn't expect too much.
