I've had this issue for a while, but I just decided to write about it.

It's kinda random when you want to close a tab, you're going with the mouse for the small X button, it lights up (roll-over) and then you click it, and nothing. Click it again, nothing.

You have to move the mouse away, click a bunch of other places, or other tabs, and then come back to the tab you wanted to close, and click the small X button again.

Anybody else has this? (still on Tiger by the way)

Might be something specific to Tiger. I have no problems with the current Safari revision on 10.5.2. Have you tried posting about this directly on the Apple support forum?
