I'm thinking about selling my personal MBP and switching to the MBA as I find my work MBA has plenty of power with only the 4GB of RAM (as long as I run only 1 VM). The MBA is much more convenient to use and I find that I dread pulling out my MBP now.

It is the baseline 13" which goes for $1000-1100 new at most places. I added a crucial C300 256GB SSD and 16GB of RAM to it. I won't need either after going to the MBA so I'd prefer to sell them with the laptop. It's only 1 month old, perfect condition. What is a fair price to ask for it?

You'd be better off putting the original HDD and RAM back in and selling everything separately.

Agreed. Sell the SSD and RAM separately, you'll get more money out of it.

For a stock, baseline MBP, probably looking at around $1000. The local Best Buy has open-box units (same specs) for around $1050.

You could drop it down to $950, but that might be too low. It would sell, though.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll swap out the drives and RAM and sell them separately.

I would say a little over 1100....just sell the stuff separately. You'll make more money that way.

I sold the MBP for 950 today. Saving the RAM for a mac mini that I plan on getting down the road. Now to sell a used SSD, should be fun :/
