I just bought a body glove one off of amazon. It was like 17 bucks and seems heavy duty enough fore the backpack.

The Booq Vyper M2s are sweet, but cost about $55 plus shipping.
    Check it out here.

Well this fit in timbuk2 messenger bag? It looks really nice and looks like a solid sleeve as well.

I would assume "Yes"... for this sleeve fits the MBP like a glove, and would slide in and out of any bag great.
Although I am not familiar with the timbuk2 bag, but if you check out the website of the sleeve and that of the bag... you can compare the dimensions. That is what I did when ordered my Booq messenger bag to ensure it would fit my notebook.

I think it depends on what size the Timbuk 2 bag you're using. I have the Timbuk2 Laptop Messenger Bag, medium size, and i tried putting my friend's 15.4 mbp and it fit perfectly in the laptop compartment, really snugly... i think too snugly though for it to fit with a sleeve on it also. The compartment of the bag is so sturdy and well padded (imo) that adding a sleeve would be overkill... unless you're mountain biking, base jumping, or suicidal.

But yeah, that's as much as i know. Perhaps if you get the large size bag it'll fit... but i would imagine that bag is huge. I feel like the timbuk 2 bag i have is big enough already (but that's just personal preference).

Also, i'm not sure if you're referring to the laptop messenger or just the normal messenger. If it's the normal messenger i would assume it would fit fine in the bag, because even in my timbuk2 laptop messenger the compartment for books and other stuff is really roomy.

    hope that helps
