I recently sold off my touch, so naturally I got rid of itunes, bonjour and other drivers.

I have iCloud sitting on my computer (almost all of it empty) and I am wondering if we can use it like Dropbox (is there any way?). I have a photo stream folder, but seriously I am not a teenager or some attention celebrity / congressman to sextext my pictures  It would be sad that Apple didn't make iCloud work like skydrive or dropbox and I would have to get rid of it!

I'm not sure if it's possible but honestly I wouldn't use iCloud unless I used Apple products. Although DropBox only gives you 2 GB, I would rather use that then using iCloud.

If you got rid of iTunes (and friends) and don't use any Apple devices, I'm not really sure that iCloud is for you.

It doesn't yet do what Dropbox does, but you can use iCloud for much more than just pictures. The application just has to support it.

    In one word: Magic.

Dropbox is too pricey for what it offers so I choose not to use it.

However, I'm pretty sure you can do that.

I have a Mac, though you don't need a Mac to sync photos with all your iCloud computers. There is ability for syncing iWork, but where does one use iWork outside of Mac world?

I guess I might end up uninstalling iCloud soon.

I find that 2GB+ is more than enough for non-backup purposes.

It really shines if you pair it with an iPhone.
