What stand is this and where can I get it? Does it work on all notebooks or only Apple laptops? I have a Asus W3J, would it work on there? Please let me know ASAP.

    Thank in advance.

True, to be fair, the iLap is more specifically designed for PowerBooks, MacBooks, etc. etc. It would probably be fine though for other laptops that didn't have front mounted speakers though.

It looks nifty. It looks like it could fall off. What's holding it down? Nothing? Probably has good grip or something.

From the review linked to above:

Yes, it should work with other PC notebooks. The only thing Mac-specific about it really is the overall design, which is supposed to complement Apple's translucent hardware.

I believe the purpose of it being on a stand is so airflow can be increased underneath it, helping it keep a bit cooler. The most heat that any notebook produces is gonna be felt the most on the underbelly.

I am using the icurve now on my macbook. It works great. Their are rubber strips to keep the notbook from sliding off. They also supply you with more rubber feet for the bottom. It works with 12" to 17" notebooks and I would trust it with either.
