    TN, IPS?

Also, how does the Macbook screen compare to other notebooks? I know I have one, but I haven't done a lot of comparisons. :p

I'm not sure which type of LCD it uses.

I think the glossy screen on my MBP looks amazing compared to other notebooks. It seems to have a good color accuracy as well as good contrast. For non-pro graphic design, it's great. I'm not a huge fan of non glossy LCD's in laptops though.

Only problem is finger prints... :(

I actually really like the Macbook screen....... generally seems very nice and bright with great clarity and crispness of detail. Also most of the MacBooks I've seen haven't had any specific illumination/uneven brightness issues, which I at least used to have a problem with on MBP screens (although it sounds like this is maybe something that has been resolved with newer MBP's).

Because the screen is so small, it looks great compared to other notebooks that have to spread the same amount of light over a larger area.

The screen is pretty nice, but I'm starting not to like glossy screens...they really attract a lot of dust/dirt/fingerprints. The screen on my 700m is on the verge of being filthy! And when I clean it, it gets all dusty again real quick. In the future, the laptop I buy will most likely have a matte screen.
