If you did what Apple told you to on the rebate forum then there is nothing else to do, just wait for your money.

Do you have to purchase the mac and ipod touch through apple or can you get the rebate through Best Buy. I am looking at the different finance options out there because I will be studying abroad for 9 months and it would be great if I could get an extra 6 months to get it paid off through Best Buy instead of just 3 months through apple.

On the right hand side in step. -
You don't have to mail in the UPC.
I combined the student discount plus the free iPod touch promotion plus the free printer promotion about a month and a half ago and got the rebate about three weeks ago. Overall quite a speedy process - and I only had to enter the receipt number once; they recognized that I qualified for both rebates. -
Just go to apple.com/promo and hit "submit your claim"
What is the process of free IPod touch rebate? It is really confused me
