    I'm looking for a Macbook Pro 15 with i7 + High Res glossy screen. Is the Apple educational store + free ipod touch the best deal going on right now?

    I just bought my MBP a few days ago for $1999. It's a refurbished model. Also, because it was a refurb, Apple screwed up the order and gave me 8GB of RAM instead of 4GB.

    Apple deals typically aren't great deals. If you want to save money and want OS X, get a refurb as stated above. If you don't want to use OS X, get any other Windows based laptop instead.
