Thing that scared the living chirst out of me was when i first put the power cord to the laptop. The magnet sucked the cord to the laptop was unexpected and scared the living crap out of me.

I really like our macbook pros they barely get hot and it's awesome for the daughter because i know her legs wont get burnt like with other laptops.

She has been playing games and it barely get hot on her.

We are so happy with the 2 we just bought so happy that i have bought myself an entry level one.

I am too lazy to post pictures but i will in 4 minutes when i have time to upload the photos.

Yes, indeed, the first time that magsafe sucks itself into place is a real rush.

My major 'scare' is the touchpad. This new glasspad doesn't always record the click (or the drag), or it may take 2, 3, 4 times to get it to record. That's been frustrating, but all in all I love my MBP. And I ain't 'scared' to share that ;)

My first scared was the misaligned trackpad. I was just worry that it'll stop functioning later on, but I'll get Apple Care for that : )

Does the trackpad actually click down when you press on it?

Yes you have to press down. For me, clicking works 90% of the time on the first click. When I tap it works 100% of the time.

My trackpad clicks down pretty far up. I goes up to 73% to the top and still click, quite impressive.

CD drive makes me cringe when I put a CD in, it sounds like it's grinding it up. But it comes out clean. Does anyone else make a grinding noes when you first put it in? I've never had a slot loading CD drive so I think it's just normal.

Well, I don't have a MBP, but when I first got my MacBook back in May 2007, I remember the sound of the optical drive at the first power on was a little unexpected :p.

The thing that pisses me off most are the stupid track pad - absolutely hopeless in vista and very bad in mac os, the lid keeps closing it self when i lean it around 45 degree angle and the stupid power cord keeps coming loose.

anothing thing is there are no place for the heat to escape so it gets hot really bad when playing games.

    Grrrrrr its disappointing.

The thing i love most very slim and the very strong also very good looking as well as very light to cary on to the helicopters and planes.

so all in all i love it still.

The scariest thing would have to be how sleek it looks! :p But really everytime I put a CD/DVD is the drive it sounds like its eating it.

If I can find one to play with, I'll compare it with my M1330's dead cat sounding slot DVD drive. I'll be honest, I love how my M1330 sounded, even though it sounds very weird... My Wii was a lot quieter, and I wish every manufacturer used whatever drive the Wii is using, despite being proprietary.

What scared me the most was when I first unboxed it and turned it on and it took a few seconds for it to actually start up and anything to be displayed on the screen, thought for a moment that I had a lemon on my hands.

I love how Apple do not pre-install the trial software on the computer anymore, instead shipping it only with Mac OS X and iLife '08 installed (at least on the base models with no changes to the configuration options). Makes it a lot easier and less time consuming to get the computer fully up and running the way you like it as you won't need to try to uninstall the trial software or re-format the hard drive and install a fresh copy of Mac OS X.

It makes grinding noises like any other cd drive - infact i dont think its any louder than my other cd drives - or maybe i am used to it but i found when i put in my cd it really doesn't grind so bad that i think it's going to chew up my cd.
