So this morning I log in to my machine after rebooting (was doing some things in Boot Camp) and soon as I log on, I notice that the time is 4 hours off (showed 1:50am) and both CPU's were spiked like the system was under load. The only processes running that were taking up a considerable amount of system RAM were launchd and pboard. The only change made was I installed the latest update for Office for Mac 2008 yesterday (didnt notice anything unusual during or after the install, and all Office programs ran with no crashes). Subsequent reboot didnt have the same issue pop up, though, so maybe it was just a one time thing.

**Forgot to mention that I started Firefox, and I'd say about 10 seconds after that, the system time updated, and the CPU usage went down** I've seen before where the system time wouldnt be correct for a few seconds after waking up from sleep, but this was a fresh boot into the OS where this occured.

Well... as far as the time thing, I believe that is still a known issue when coming from bootcamp to OS X. That will fix itself after it pings the time server.

Not sure about why your idling at 100% CPU speed. What is making it run at 100%?

I notice the same time difference when going from Boot Camp back to OS X as well.
