    Hey guys,

I just received my Apple Macbook today... and I have to say that I LOVE it so far. Everything worked right out of the box (which is surprisingly small, btw).
    Just a few observations:
    1. The fan is a little loud (when it comes on)... but I guess that's kind of normal considering I came from a 15" Asus that was virtually silent
    2. The "delete" key is somewhat dodgey... I always have to press it EXACTLY in the center to get it to register
    3. The screen is awesome; the 13.3" form factor is practically perfect
    4. OS X leopard is simple and easy to use. I haven't figured everything out yet, but I'm sure I'll get used to it quickly.

I'm definitely a proud (and happy) new Apple user :D

Welcome to the club AuroraS! What club is it anyways? Can I join? Do you have to be Canadian? :p

Congratulations Sam! It was overdue. Now I have to be more careful with what I post in the Apple Forum. ;)

I swear, I'm getting the Edit and Quote buttons mixed up...if you suddenly see my reply inside your post, its because I pressed Edit instead of Quote :D.

And the club? Oh, the requirements are simple. You gotta be a Sam living in Vancouver using a white MacBook. ;)

And as long as you're posting things within forum rules, nothing I can do without getting myself in trouble :D.

    1. It is funny you say that. I just retired my desktop and just now noticed how loud it was! With only the MBP on it is complete silence. I will say when the fans do fire up all the way they do get rather loud, but for normal use I don't hear mine. Kinda disturbing actually, I miss the background noise.

Actually... after updating to Leopard 10.5.1, the computer is quite silent. I don't hear the fan anymore :D
    I love silence...

Oh, I'd also like to add that I'm fairly impressed with the speakers on the MB... they're louder than other laptop speakers Ive seen, and the sound is quite crisp. Definitely a plus.

I've heard Apple fixed up the speakers with the new MacBooks...and glad to hear its pretty good. My MacBook speakers are okay, but definitely lacking bass sound.
