Since the 10.5.7 update i've noticed that plugged in my Macbook Pro is MUCH faster. About a second faster in every respect.

However, now, on battery, the Macbook Pro is a second SLOWER with everything that it was originally and scrolling is now choppy?

Has anyone else experienced this? :(

Nope, it doesn't happen on mine. Try to do a hardware test.

Maybe it under clocks the CPU when unplugged now? There is no visible changes in the power saver settings.

Hmmm, seems to have fixed itself now?

I charged up the battery while using it on mains. It was lightening fast on mains.

Turned off Laptop. Unplugged power cable. Turned on Laptop. Now as fast as when it's powered by the mains again?

I wonder, is there any background processes that could misbehave and cause the whole OS to be sluggish?

    I really haven't found anything different, or I haven't noticed yet. :p

You could see if there is anything going on in Activity Monitor, and then you can stop it though there. ;)

I noticed mine has been running slightly cooler now. Or perhaps that's because of the "new" effect it had created psychologically.
