    I want to trade my macbook for someone's imac. He gave me his serial number. Is there a way to find the hardware on apple's website that is in the imac?

    I'm trying to find a spot like dell & gateway have, but I'm striking out.

    The serial # I'm trying to find is w88127jbze2

    probably google would help. Or if you know the date it . www.archive.org Or get him to click "About this Mac" under the little apple at the top left corner.
