Does anyone have any issues watching DVDs? I have a few DVDs I made from a Panasonic DVD/VCR (transferred from a VHS to DVD) and it will randomly say skipping over damaged area while playing on my MB using the standard DVD Player software. The same burned DVDs work fine on Panasonic and my roomates DVD player. Anyone else experience this? Would it be better if I tried using VLC or some other program?

VLC is usually better for watching anything that isn't a store bought DVD movie. Its also the only way to watch a movie from an external drive if you've removed your internal DVD drive...

Okay, I will fiddle with using VLC and see if that helps. I have just never had a problem with these burned DVDs and I figured that my six month old MacBook shouldn't either.
