Warcraft III again...

I finally got Reign of Chaos to install and work on my macbook. When I install The Frozen Throne I start getting "the application has closed unexpectedly" message and then neither ROC or TFT will work. Since the disc for Warcraft works on both macs and pcs could I just move the files from my program files on my desktop pc to my mac? Would that allow me to play it? It seems like it wouldn't, but I'm just wondering...

Some other alternatives would be nice too!

 

Dont think you can just move those files. Some are windows specific, like the warcraft3 executable. It's better to just install again on a mac. I installed the game when I first got my macbook, it ran great on 10.4.10, or .9, I can't remember.

 

I've tried installing it several times but it keeps doing the same thing...

 

Have you tried installing the latest patch? on windows or mac?

Go here. Assuming you will try this on your mac, first install warcraft 3 and then this patch, then update to frozen throne expansion pack.

Make sure you are in an admin account when you install it. I tried from my limited account and it did not work properly.

If I understand correctly, your problem appears during installation, right? Then patch is useless.

Uhh, it should be fairly simple.
I'm assuming it would be in a .dmg, so you just double click on it which mounts it and then run whatever is in there.
I'm pretty sure whatever you download will also some kind of readme or something which would tell you what to do.
