You can use the tools for finding the right ram on Crucial.com ... they'll show you what they have, but also the exact specs of the RAm they guarantee to work, then you'll know exactly what to look for elsewhere if you decide to not buy from Crucial...
Crucial lists $80 for a 4GB kit.. (two 2gb sticks).. which isn't bad since they guarantee it'll work, and give lifetime warranty on it. -
Just bought two sticks of 2GB Crucial for the 13.3 MacBook Pro from Amazon for $74.98: Crucial CT2KIT25664BC1067 4GB 204-PIN PC3-8500 SODIMM DDR3 Memory KIT (2GBx2).

Except you might want to wait for it to go on sale- I got it for <$60 last week. -

OSX is otherwise such a good memory manager with low overhead that the next greatest difference would be with graphic applications that load or manipulate huge files, such as some video editors. Otherwise it would take a huge amount of multitasking with many open apps to see major differences. -
Its not that hard to buy ram.
Just buy any kind thats DDR3 for laptops. Mine is Mushkin DDR3 laptop ram and its running great.
Want to update my ram from 2gb to 4gb?
