Hey,
I'm not really familiar with Mac's, but I have been reading up on any available information on Macbook Pro's. I was planning on buying a Macbook Pro this month, but I keep hearing rumors about newer models being released very soon. If there are newer models being released - is it simply hardware updates or is it more of a complete overhaul? Will this also affect the current prices Apple has now, in either a drop or raise in overall price? And how soon would they be released?
Sorry if this has been asked to death before, but I'm not really familiar with how Apple handles this sort of thing. I hear that they do tend to release newer versions more quickly than other computer brands. If there is any truth to the rumors, would you recommend holding off buying a Macbook Pro right now and waiting for the newer models?
Any help would be appreciated.

People are anticipating a complete overhaul. However, the overhaul is expected mid-October, so chances are you will still be able to get that Macbook of yours this month without regretting the purchase. The overhaul might be delayed to mid-November, however.
Apple never drops their price. What they usually do is replace their entire range while maintaining the price. The former range is then sold off on the Apple Refurb store at discounted prices, but there is the possibility that you will get an actual refurb as opposed to a brand new model.
The recommendation right now is to hold off. The update is coming, it's only a matter of whether it happens this month or the next. -
Microsoft is offering 20% cashback on buy it now ebay items. If you have to get one, I suggest you get a used one. Of course, wait a month or two is the best option.

Definitely hold off. I expect major notebook updates on the 14th, and the MBP will no doubt be a part of that. So wait up, for sure!

Thanks for the help Budding & Sam, appreciate it. I'm not in any rush, so I'll definitely wait for the updated models.
