Uh your link has timed out. Maybe edit your post and tell us what you are trying to run it on. I assume it is a MacBook. It will run, but not at native res and most everything will be turned off. Plus cities will be a crawl. If you put 2GB of RAM it will help.

It should run okay. I know people who play on an ibook and it plays okay on low settings. So you should be able to get above low settings.

This is a duplicate post from another thread, but I don't want to write a new one.

World of Warcraft runs fantastically on the windows side (not bothering to try it on OS X)

Anyway if you have the 2gbs of ram, it will make all the difference. I run at the settings Wow automatically assigned, but I upped the resolution to 1280 x 800. It is beautiful and I get framerates between 30-60 everywhere, IF, Stormwind, everywhere.

The only thing that is visually hindering, which isn't a big deal, is your viewing distance. Your viewing distance is limited, but by no means an inconvenience. If you are in town, or in an instance, or in a building, you won't be able to tell. For an idea of where it cuts off, if you are standing just around the Stormwind entrance (on the stormwind side of the bridge) you can barely see out the gate on the other side of the bridge. Obviously as you walk across the bridge, everything on the other side will render as you get closer.

I never expected Wow to play so beautifully on the Macbook's GMA 950, I am more then impressed.

Now that I think about it, I was playing last night with my gf, and I was walking around the countryside in Dun Morough and I didn't even notice the viewing distance, I forgot it was there. I can't emphasize how not a big deal it is.

I have tryed Counterstrike Source, and while i'm not done tinkering with it, it plays horribly, although I've seen and heard that HalfLife 2 runs great. So maybe there is hope.

I am going to try Warcraft 3 TFT today, so I will let you know how it goes.

One question though, You mentioned how you try it on Windows side of Macbook. Did you try on the OS X??? If so, how's the performance?? because I've noticed my friend was playing it on the Windows side is very smooth but not sure about the OSX side
    Thx

It's not going to play as well in OS X, I haven't tried it, just what i've heard.

The intel graphics can't borrow as much ram in OS X, and direct x is just better.

yeah, i saw that in the update and was kinda jealous, but i'd much rather run it in windows and have the better fps than be able to change what song is playing from within the game.

    hey there-
I just saw my friend's Macbook running WoW on OSX side and it's surprisingly as smooth as the windows even though on the OSX side, he has to lower the settings compared to the windows side :) but nevertheless it's smooth
    Just a 2 cents

You know I'm still surprised no one came out with anything yet on enabling OS X to borrow more system ram, I've been to one of the rumor forums (don't remember which one sorry) and there were many talking about changing it so it can access just as much as its windows counterpart can, I believe someone will find a way eventually though. I will try myself, I don't think it will be too much different from if I were running linux on it.
