    Hi all

Just made the move from windows XP into the mac world.
I have hated macs for many years after using one about 12 years ago.

I brought a iphone from the US last year and unlocked it and felt the pull towards Apple.

I decided last year I wouldnt get one and brought a Zepto laptop with windows XP. Its a lovely machine and can't fault it one little bit.

But just walk into the Mac shop and handed over the credit card for a MBP 15"

Best thing I ever did. Liking it alot

Wouldn't you feel a bit pissed off in the first place to have to unlock it to suit your needs? I agree they have nice products, but beware that Apple is very much about control in many aspects.

Which is why we don't have to worry about as many things as those running Windows do.

Congrats on your purchase. You'll probably have buyers remorse for a couple of days, once you get through that though it's all golden. Let us know how it goes.

    Congrats on the purchase =)
I, too, used to be anti-Mac... but now I can't get enough of them. OS X is a great operating system that integrates so nicely with the hardware...

congrats! I switched about a month ago and feel similarly

I bought an iPod Touch last September and have been thoroughly impressed with the care and design Apple puts behind their products

I have had no issues with Windows PC's in the past but there's no denying there's a lot more polish with my current MBP.

I felt uncomfortable with OSX in the first 4-5 days and almost gave up on it. Old windows habits die hard. But before the week ended I started settling in and from that point forward there was no looking back. The best thing I ever done and just wished I had done it earlier.

Vista for me was somewhat similar. I was on the beta program and just kept getting frustrated and switched back and forth between Vista and XP till I eventually stuck with Vista. Now I think Vista is better than XP for my use and can't go back to XP. But then OSX is that much better than Vista and now can't go back to Vista. :)

Surprisingly the switch from Windows to OSX was easier for me than from XP to Vista.
