Are there any alternatives that doesn't have super-sensitive tap on an MBP? Can I adjust it somehow?

Bugs me too. I tried awhile back to find a fix -- no luck, but maybe someone knows something I don't. Guessing we're just going to have to hope for the best from the next Boot Camp update...

Perhaps it's tuned for the delicate touch of a basement-dwelling type since few others in the Apple world are expected to even realise that the options settings exist? Damned useless.

And after plunking down physically on the pad for a while and getting used to that, I'm pressing down hard when switching to other machines and wondering why nothing happens. Would be fine, but as a main point I'm quite afraid of bending the Airs (even more than they get bent in everyday use) further.

Do you have snow leopard + bootcamp 3.0 installed? I found that with bootcamp 3.0 my trackpad was less sensitive then when i had leopard + Bootcamp 2.0

Jeez. If it's any more sensitive than this, I'd only have to breathe on it and the pointer would jump. This is the newest of my 17-inchers - a warranty replacement (already, unsurprising) for one of the ~early '09 17-inchers, Snow Leopard, 3.0.
