Every time I get junk mail it says "mail thinks this is junk mail" But i never want to see the email at all. Its taking space on a list thousands of messeges long. Is there any way to use mail to block messeges from verizon, gap, best buy, etc all together? Or do I just have to unsubscribe from the 50 mailing lists I am on manually :(

You can set mail to move junk to straight to trash , go into mail preferences , then click on trash , then click perform custom action , click advanced , then change the too mailbox too trash.

I spam to the junk folder just in case something important gets marked junk by mistake.

Under mail preferences, click on the junk tab. Then select move to junk folder. By default mail has this set to "mark as junk but leave in inbox".
