I want a small computer to take to class with me and I absolutely love the 12'' iBooks. I've never had a mac before but I'd like to try it out.

Anyway, does anybody have a recommendation for where to get used/refurb iBooks?

I'm looking to get one for really cheap. If I can't get a very good deal on it, I'm not going to do it (and I've got patience :p).

FWIW, I definitely want an airport card and Tiger OS.

I would think eBay is a good place to start.

    And I have :0)

Actually I've been looking at the G4's online. Are there any G3's with Tiger OS?

Edit: Nevermind, it appears that there are.

Is it possible to upgrade the OS from 10.2 or 10.3? I know Apple doesn't sell the OS in a box right?

You should be able to - *IF* you've got Panther (10.3). I'm not sure exactly how you upgrade, but I think you already have to be a Mac owner to buy the upgrade software - they give you a discount when you turn in your older OS discs for the new ones I think.
