I have the stock 320GB 5400RPM Drive and 4GB of RAM right now, I use CS4 almost 3-4 hours a day errday... I also play some games (Battlefield Bad Company 2, and StarCraft 2

will I see a good performance increase/increased productivity levels with the Seagate Momentus XT drive and 8GB of RAM? (corsair and the momentus xt is the 500gb one)..

    thanks a lot guys

You'll definitely see improvement in boot/load times. Personally, I would save up and get an SSD drive instead of the Momentus XT, because it really is a big difference between the two.

If you're set in getting the RAM + Momentus though, you're not going wrong by any stretch of means, you will see an improvement. Just that the RAM isn't going to make a very large impact for you unless you're using a lot of virtual machines and such.

If you don't use the super-drive get a caddy bay for strorage and a ssd for program and os.
