You can get 4GB for less than $100 US off newegg.com I think.

Yeah, don't purchase it from Apple, it'll be more expensive that it needs to buy.

I notice you use the British symbol, so see if there are any major online electronics stores for the UK, as Newegg doesn't ship to UK (or Canada, for that matter).

Also make sure that you buy any regular RAM. Don't buy RAM that's labeled as Mac RAM, because it tends to be more expensive than any old RAM.

I paid $96 (US dollars) on Kingston's website for 2x2gb.

Apple is just crazy for charging $700 for this upgrade.

Its not just Apple...most manufacturers overcharge for RAM.

True, although I think Apple may hold the record.

If you're in the UK buy it from Crucial.com/uk/. Although you might be able to find it cheaper at other sites, Crucial is very reliable and has excellent customer service.

Corsair RAM is nice :). But for me, as long as its a known brand, I go for what's cheapest :p.

About upgrading RAM, does any Australian users know where it would be cheapest to buy (cheap, as in nothing too dodgy)
