I know when you install something with Mac, you're supposed to know how to uninstall it first, but I neglected to do that unfortunately. I googled it but couldn't find any answers. Do you know how to uninstall .Mac Backup 3.1? I dragged it from the applications into the trash but it was installed with an installer rather than being bundled so there are still traces left everywhere and I don't think it came with an uninstaller. Is there a way to get rid of it without leaving any traces and without accidently deleting something I may end up regretting? :)

at most there will be some preferences/support files in the library folder. but usually the bulk of the program will be in the applications folder (or wherever you put it).

unlike the evil windows registry, mac os x uses a preferences system where each program maintains its own little folder, if it needs one at all. alot of the programs will be self contained in there .app.

basically just look through the library folder and if you see a folder for it, you can delete it fairly safely.
