This has probably been answered several times but whenever I search for it, I am unable to find a straight answer. Where can I get the best drivers for the 9600m GT? I downloaded the drivers for the GeForce 9m series off nvidia.com but they don't recognize my hardware. Could somebody point me in the right direction? Oh and I'm running Windows 7 64-Bit.

"Best" will of course be subjective.

For the record, the *official* nVidia Forceware drivers for notebooks from nvidia.com will install fine on a MacBook Pro.

would you prefer word "straight from the horses mouth" or not?

official nVidia drivers (we are only talking about windows here, of course) support the macbook pro.

you can also get modified drivers (or just modified setup information files with unmodified drivers, pointless since official drivers install fine) from laptopvideo2go.com

once upon a time, laptopvideo2go was the only answer.

on the os x side, you don't need to install drivers or anything (obvious?)

laptopvideo2go is becoming pretty popular for releasing hybrid drivers now.

well, they don't "make" drivers. they just mod the initial driver so that it can accept almost all mobile video cards. the problem is that even though i installed them , they did not work on my mac, whereas they worked on acers, dell studio xps 1340 and other laptops which have hybrid graphics.

may be we should wait for some time before better or more mature drivers are released.
