I paid $10 for coolbook yesterday and though i dont have any particular heat issues or battery life issues (i get about 4-5 hours with 40% brightness and working hard with multiple programs open or 3 max with high brightness and youtube videos, etc.) I wanted better battery life and figured it wouldn't hurt.

Installed, registered, and setup today. Setup and running stress tests to make sure the voltages I set it at are stable, took about 2-3 hours. I used CPUtest with settings on "huge", 10 repetition, and 2 instances.

Right now it seems stable at the settings:
    798mhz - .9250V
    1595mhz - .9250V
    1862mhz - .9250V
    2128mhz - .9375V

which is wayyy lower than what it was default at over 1.0V. Anyway, there doesn't seem to be any problems yet I am seeing a good increase in my battery life. getting about 7-8 hours at 30-40% brightness. 72% remaining at 40% brightness, typing this mesage with about 6 tabs open and ichat open and it's reading 6 hours. I won't know till it calibrates again but I think it's worth the money.
    A+

i also heard that if you have the 1.4 ghz 11 inch macbook air all settings are disabled. this doesnt happen with the 1.6 11 inch but i havent investigated what was going on.

I've heard that CB delivers good results, but for my MBP 7,1 it successfully UVed and then ramped up the fan RPM to the point where the machine was unusable... so I got rid of it.

Really, thats weird. I notice my temps are about 10-15 degrees cooler and i never hear the fan ever. Unless i load up starcraft II which i only did for testing purposes. I do notice things a TINY TINY bit less snappier but i cant pinpoint it to the Coolbook or my SSD being 80% full at the moment.

Been using coolbook for my mba 2.13, for the past day, and loving it so far.

I've set my MBA 2.13 coolbook to run with only one frequency [email protected] and everything is running cooler .

Been testing since yesterday, have ran several CPU test instances, been running cputest with All Tests, 10 Repetitions and 4 instances for 2h30m already, and working at the same time and it is stable as a rock.

Just don't know if I should enable other frequencies or not?

If it runs 700mhz at the same voltage as 2.13ghz, should I enable it or not? Any advantages/disadvantages?
