There's no official support for "ReadyBoost" like feature in the current version of OS X Tiger as far as I know. Possibly the upcoming Leopard will have this feature.

It's getting pretty mixed reviews under Vista as far as actually performing much benefit.

It can't hurt if you have a USB drive lying around on the floor, right?

I noticed a pretty big improvement when I used a 1GB Sandisk Micro for my Vista Desktop PC with only 1GB of RAM.

Ready Boost works best on Vista with 512MB of memory, where it makes a huge difference. It didn't seem to make a big difference with 1GB on Vista RC1 and RC2, but I've never used RTM.

OS X does not do this, and from what I hear there is minimal difference in Vista.

No difference with RTM either, as far as I can tell at least. And as you say it makes the biggest difference with PCs with 512MB RAM, i.e., PCs that are lacking in adequate RAM.
