Turbo boost and Hyper threading in the 2011 MBA specifically the i5 1.7 ghz 13" model?
-
Yes! Check the attachment pic. on the left. Cores 2 Threads 4. Wahoo!
Not sure about boost, but if it has one, then why not the other!

"Why not the other" could be thermal reasons, or to differentiate their product families more, etc. There must be a way to monitor clock speeds, I want to know if it has TB for sure. Someone know of a way for someone else with a MBA to check? Turbo Boost would be a big selling point to me, I liked the last gen ones but you could feel it hit the processor wall often, with Turbo Boost that would be much less of a problem. Good to know it has HT at least.
Oi, I really wish Apple detailed their processors more. Once Turbo Boost is confirmed we'd still have to check the specs against the Intel website to see which processor boosted how high. -
Ah, this does it. It only takes a minute to have it installed and check for TB, anyone willing?
Temperature Monitor: Description -
HT is for sure as it's shown in activity monitor. TB most likely, because the 13" Air scores a 5860 Geekbench which is higher than last year's 17" i7 MBP, and roughly the same as this year's 13" MBP which seems very curious to me - how can a ULV score the same as a full 35W processor.. Without Turbo Boost there's no way it can score that much at the stock 1.7GHz.
I'm about to crack my 13" MBA open. Too bad I can't run Geekbench as there's no free trial, would have loved to run it for myself on my MBP and the new MBA.

You can check TB in the link above, but someone else already did (bah, forgot where the thread was, I think on Macrumors). It does indeed have TB. In single threaded tasks when there is adequate thermal headroom, the bottom 11 inch model goes up to 2.3, the upper end 11 up to 2.9, the bottom 13 up to 2.7 and the upper up to 2.9, but mind the cache differences.
That was more difficult than needed, I Reaaally wish Apple detailed their processors more, and put Intel model numbers right on the site. -
Karamazovmm Overthinking? Always!
the numbers that I know are:
i5 2557m
i7 2627m
And yes both pack turbo boost, and both pack hyperthreading -

^^ oh yes only got 50% right of the lot!

I know now that they do after people checked, but the fact that the Intel processors supported it was never the question, it was whether Apple might have disabled them for whatever reason since they made no mention on the product page.
