Hi, I'm trying to get a Mac running OSX Leopard (the one before Snow Leopard) to share files and folders with two windows 7 computers on the same network.
Now the computers are all on the same router and joined to the same workgroup. However, on the windows 7 computers, to join the workgroup, a computer generated password was required.
Whenever I try to connect to the mac from my windows 7 machine, it tells me that it is not allowed, although I pick up the computer in the network category. This was happening before with the two windows 7 pcs when the password was not set up for the workgroup on those computer, however, now it is, the two systems are sharing just fine.
Is the generated password the cause of the inability to share files and if so, what is the most seamless way of making this happen?

You might need to ask in a Windows forum... I know Win7 has some setting somewhere to do those special "password protected" sharing stuff that doesn't know how to talk to other OSes right.
