Trojan ?

Hey all,

I installed this app called soleol for finding subtitle files for my movies. It directed me to opensubtitles.org and asked me to sign up. I accepted the request and firefox opened the website and just crashed. I restarted it once again to found it going all weird. The bookmarks would appear blank and the exit buttons kept going on and off(as in the 'x' would appear and disappear). Then the whole system just hung up for 2 seconds. After which it became very slow in running any application. (even vlc) . Oh, and i was running clamxav in the background which shut down automatically, which was weird coz none of the other apps running shut down.

After 2 minutes, everything was back to normal and all running properly as it was supposed to. But I'm new to this and I'm paranoid that something might have happened.

Should i try norton or something like that? Or should i just reformat the whole system?

Or am i just plain paranoid ?

I did. It says that it can't scan the whole hard drive. I scanned the applications folder. It came up with nothing. What do i do now ?
