Is it possible to copy my PC files to iPod and then copy them to my new Mac?

Do I have to format it to Mac filesystem? Can I do that throught PC?

when you bought your ipod, what did you plug it into first? a mac or a pc?

if you plugged it into a mac, it sets it up with hfs+, if you plugged it into a pc, it sets it up with fat32.

macs can read and write fat32 and hfs+. windows pc's can read and write fat32 only, and will not recognize hfs+ without 3rd party software, as stated above.

    I plugged it into a PC first so I guess it´s FAT32.

I could just copy my important files there from my PC and then copy them back to my Mac right?

Yes that should work. FAT32 works for both mac and pc.

    Just to make things clear...

If I burn a CD or DVD on PC I will be able to read it perfectly on my Mac?

If I send some files to my own GMAIL account will I be able to read it on my Mac?

CDs, DVDs and email servers don't need to be FAT32, NTFS or HFS+?

Yes CDs, DVDs and Gmail will not be a problem. You dont have to worry about the file system. Sending it by folder sharing over a network will work too.

Yes, CDs, DVDs, GMail attachments are all fine. Mac OS X uses the same common file systems as Windows (.mp3, .jpg, .doc, etc.) so its fine.
