I'm considering buying a new macbook but i've noticed that many people have their trackpads worn down after a few months of use. Would this be a problem for a notebook that I want to last say for at least 3-4 years? Is this an issue to any of you?

    Thanks in advance!

Worn-out trackpad? I know what you mean, I've seen some MacBooks at Best Buy and the trackpads are ruined (especially the Black MacBooks). But that's because people touch it after eating a pizza, other touch it after playing in the grass, etc. In other words, it becomes like the door of a public washroom.

If you keep clean habits the trackpad won't wear out. Don't use it with greasy fingers (like after you eat a pizza) and you'll be fine.
