The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

I have been invaded by an advertisement: TopTVBytes.com and it is very annoying. How do I get rid of it? I use Safari mostly.

Do you mean a pop up? Or has it set itself as the default home page?

I use FF3 with adblock, noscript and flashblock. To me this is the minimum setup to avoid invasive and distracting advertising. There is probably some way to block things in Safari but Firefox 3 is working for me so I don't bother looking for another solution.
