I keep hearing Friday the 15th of Feb is the new MBPROs, is this true?

Also, who edits video on their MBPRO? Do you use the standard program or is there an upgrade? I'd like to have ALL the features possible...

Um, if you have iLife 08 that came with iMovie 08 go to Apples site and download iMovie HD 06, which is free if you already have a copy of iLife. It's much better than 08.

yes of course, Final Cut is "THE" tool for it, but I'm just suggesting he might as well get iMovie HD too, since it's free.

How do you get it exactly? Also, why/how is it better than iMovie 08?

I'll try to find the link for you, but it's on Apples site. And it gives you more control over timeline, sound, and effects than 08. 08 really dumbs it down to fit with Apples "it just works" theme, but 06 gives you much more control, although it's more complex.

    EDIT:here you go: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/imovieHD6.html

    Thanks Arquis.

Does it replace 08 or will I still have 08 to compare?

Don't expect it. Anyway, its passed now :p.

But the main point being, Apple usually updates its hardware on Tuesdays, and not just any random day. So keep an eye on Tuesdays.

Apple better get the update out soon. I'm getting an itchy trigger finger and may pull before Steve & Co can snag my dollars. ;)
