what is the battery life of your macbook pro on bootcamp? i want to compare it to that of windows 7 as i will be doing heavy programming during my second year at uni. i want to know what will be better, vista or xp. i currently have w7 rc. i wanted to purchase it but i do not know when it will be released. therefore i wanted to go with something more stable. thank you in advance for your help.

w7 is supposed to be released in october if im not wrong. i use xp under bootcamp and i get about 2-4 hours when just doing normal things like surfing the web and idling. as for games.. i say a good solid 1-2 hours under xp. im also going to switch to w7 and will purchase when it comes out :p

sathyaterry, is the June MBP 15" the on with built-in battery (non-removable)?

Which version of Vista? 64-bit or 32-bit?

Please tell me what the results are after...if you don't mind. The battery life and heat...after it has cooled down from installation. Cause it gets really hot during installation anyway.

Thanks. Sorry to take the thread.
