I know this was asked before, but I kinda lost the track lately so help is appreciated:
1. Is there a workaround for getting Time Machine recognizing my iPod Classic 80 Gbs as a possible backup disk?
2. Is there a way to get Time Machine making a backup straight forward to the drive where the OS is actually installed so I can move it to my iPod later on?
-
1. No, as far as I know. Time Machine is built to sense anything that's external. It even does it with my iPhone. Which is kinda stupid IMHO.
2. No again. Time Machine can only do backups on an external, and not on the OS disc. -
I have another question.
If you use your time machine to back up your current system. Some how that system got destroyed. Would you be able to use your time machine and restore your exact setup on a new machine (of course given a comparable specs). -

You use your restore DVD that came with the apple. Then you run time machine to bring every thing update.

So it shouldn't be difficult to do. Thanks a lot.
