    Hi all,

I'm looking at buying a 15" powerbook...My PC desktop is hanging on, but is on its last legs to be sure.

My question is, what has Apple's history been in terms of providing a free OS upgrade if I buy the product a month or two before they release the new OS?

I keep hearing that they'll release Tiger in the first half of 2005, but June may be a bit too far away as I'm hoping to buy this laptop by the end of April. So, should I try to hold out until June (or whenever Tiger is released), or will I be OK to get the PB now and get the upgrade when it comes out?

Also, has anyone looked at/tried out Tiger? Is it a far superior operating system that is worth waiting for? Is it a friendlier OS to lifelong PC users?

    Thanks!

I was just in the mac store today, and in terms of price, they will refund any price difference for up to two weeks. I'm just guessing that might be the same policy with there software. So if it comes out within two weeks after you buy it, then you're good, but if not....
