The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

I have recently decided to invest some time and effort into a thorough look at the MAC vs. PC debate. There have been few requests from the cosnultants I work with (I'm responsible for IT in a mid-size global consultency), to examine the possibility of offering a MAC laptop in addition to the Dell offerings we currently have as standard.

I've spent few weeks researching the MAC world and its current offerings and even got myself a MBP. I have then written the following review, toggling between the 2 systems and completing various tasks and activities.

I welcome any comments or suggestions from anyone who reads this with interest. I'm happy to perform any further tests or comparisons, should anyone suggest those.

    happy reading!

    NC.

Forum rules state you are not allowed to post links to blogs in your posts, so it has been removed. Your thread in the "What Notebook Should I Buy?" has also been removed as cross posting is also against the rules.

Apologies for posting twice, I wasn't sure where is the best place for this actually.

Please advise what is the best way of posting the review I've pointed to, is it just c&p? Also, which forum would be best suited for that?

    thanks,

    NC.

Well, I've decided to post in the section of "which laptop should I buy", hoping it would be best served there. You are all welcome to read and comment!

    Cheers,

    NC.

Mods - I guess this thread can be closed now...

What is he point of comparing a network identifier with a personal computing device (which everyone posting here must have)? Unless you are talking about a Macintosh... :p
