That is the most beautiful laptop ever. It sucks that other companies like Dell don't have the ability to follow or surpass it, or come close to it.

Real nice pics btw, love the wood lol.

Apple has the more attractive cases also. They're so much nicer than every other brand, the closest I've seen is a Zune case, which is logical.

    Nice laptop...

I always thought the Dell e6500 was probably the closest thing to the MacBook Pro on the PC side. Nice machine, congrats.

Congratulations my friend.I also bought my first macbook on 20th Novermber and it was 2ghz one. After few days of introductory use I found that super drive is faulty as it was scratching discs if u little bit move ur laptop. Spoke to apple and I fond them tremendously helpfull. They told me that we are getting some simmilar complaints and offered me replacement even if it was not bought from Apple directly. Now I sent defective one back and waiting for replacement.Meanwhile I decided to go for a 2.4ghz one by paying cost difference.Although I am unlucky to have such defective product but I am still impressed by the built quality of that new macbook and moreover I am really impressed by the customer service and support apple provided me to get that replaced. I would also like to mention that I bought Lenovo Ideapad U330 and did not know that new macbook is comming and when I saw this I decided to sell my U330 on ebay and bought this one.

In that it's rectangular and it is a laptop? Or that it has a CPU and GPU inside? Seriously, there has never been any laptop released that is even close in design to the new MB and MBP's...

And gratz on your new lappie...

I recall a few years back... (~4 years ago?), the Asus W1 series looked a lot like the Powerbook G4s/Macbook Pros at the time. Google it and you'll see!

If they ever come out with the DL-> DL DVI adapter Id consider the new MBP. Was told it will be out "soon" when I bought my aluMacBook. So much for that.
