Any ideas on how to fix this. I hate having to click with the button instead of having the tapping like on the mac side.

You sure? I think I remember someone saying that it is possible to adjust the settings to enable for you to tap on the trackpad(on the mac side at least).

Nonetheless, the word 'gay', is not a synonym for the word 'stupid'.

    Get it right.

I'm going to suggest that it was you who initially used the slur--illustrating either ignorance or phobia.

Perhaps a simple appology would be in order (and also quite mature). As it stands, you are both offensive and juvenile.

    EDIT: MY BAD!

If you didn't mean me... ignore above sentence :D

I think we should just move on before this thread gets locked.

Arquis, I was not speaking of you at all. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

For the record, I did think your comment was funny.

roguemonk.. i think you need to relax. we ALL know what he meant, no need to nitpick. he meant "ghey" as in "not cool". and if you honestly didnt pick that up, then now you know for next time.

Wow that sucks to hear. I just bought the new MBP and was planning on installing Win Vista onto it tomorrow.

Now I'll have to rethink this...

Does Win XP exhibit this same problem? Or does the single tap on the trackpad work fine in Win XP? Anyone know? (My first Mac)

Regardless, loving the MBP so far. :)

I use the word "gay" all the time as in lame or stupid. It is a common slur. I agree with thekatt there is definitely no need to nitpick. If you are homosexual please understand that when people say that they do not mean to offend you.

Tap clicking doesn't work in Windows at all I think. Be it XP or Vista. It's really not a deal breaker. If you want Windows on your machine just install it. You just have to use the actual button to click.

Of course its not a deal breaker, I just like that feature since I'm used to using tap clicking on my Sony SZ150.

    Thanks Arquis.

Hey maybe if we all send feedback they'll eventually update the driver to include it? :p
