Hi everyone...I'm new here, and fairly new to Macs in general so I'll probably have more questions as time goes on.

My first, and most important question to me, is about using the G4, which was bought in 2001 in California, I tell you that so you know I'm currently in the US. At the end of this month I'm going back to England for anything up to a year and want to take the G4 with me. I know I will need a power adapter but my question is whether there is one that is better and safer for the G4.

I have tried to search for this info here but didn't really get what I needed so any and all info, especially first hand experience, would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

the G4 is a laptop? Then it should have a power supply that can handle 110-240V so that you can use it everywhere in the world. You jsut need an adapter to make the plug fit. Can be had in any hardware store for a few $.

Thank you, wave. I kinda guessed all I would need would be an adapter but wasn't really convinced it would be safe for the laptop...and seeing as how I'm primarily a PC user getting used to the Mac is going to be enough to worry about without worry about it going up in smoke 'cause of the electric.

I would check the power supply itself or the documentation for the computer, but nearly all electronics produced in the last 5-10 years will accept 110-240v.
