I believe a while ago, Apple let you take home and try out their products (computers) for a little while and return it for a full refund if you weren't satisfied. Does Apple or and Apple dealers still do this? Everything about the Mac Book appeals to me, OS included except the tiny screen and I'm not willing to fork out an additional $500-$700 for a MBP. I just want to try out the MB for a couple days and see if I get use to the 13 inch screen.

I believe you can still order a Mac and return it if you are unsatisfied with in within a certain time frame, but they will charge a restocking fee.

Most everybody charges a restocking fee these days. I can't blame them. Too many people return hi dollar items after experiencing buyers remorse. I know I've been guilty of it a time or two. I've narrowed down my search between the $1099 mac book or this HP http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage...ategoryId=pcmcat103700050043&id=1174092316449

I am a web developer and spend most of my time with Dreamweaver, Fireworks and occasionally Flash all running at the same time with firefox and about 10-30 tabs open.

Asside from the OS difference, I'm trying to figure out if the difference between the Intel T7200 (MacBook) and the T5300(HP) is a big enough to want to go with the MacBook over the HP. I realiaze thet the cache is doulbed in the T7200 and the clock speed is a little faster.

The build quality on the macbook will be much better also. If the specs are the same, then I'd definitely go for the macbook. Besides, to do stuff like you're talking you're probably going to have an external monitor, so the 13" screen shouldn't detract you too much.

You are referring to the special they had on the mini a while back. They offered a money back guarantee for 30 days. They quickly dropped that idea.
