So, I am travelling over to the U.K. in January, and I will be there for about 6 months. I'd like to get a tv tuner that handles analog, digital and HD reception. But more specifically I want to know if there are any of these usb tuners that can handle both the American and European standards

    American: ATSC/NTSC
    European: DVB-T/Pal

I've been looking for similar things also for going in the other direction across the pond, but all I've found so far that handles both PAL and NTSC are analog tuners.

The fact that they exist in analog versions means that the companies that make them are aware of the fact that some people want to be able to watch both PAL and NTSC with the same equipment, but maybe digital is more difficult to combine in that way (or just plain expensive).

To sum it up, from what I found you'd have to get separate digital tuners for PAL and NTSC for now.
