I found a MBP with 2.0 ghz Core Duo. WIll this model be able to run Snow Leopard?
What are the implications of this being a 32 bit CPU?

Snow Leopard is compatible with all Intel Macs, including the first generation that came out in mid 2006.
There won't be any implications with running a 32bit version of OS X. The only downside would be that you will not be able to take advantage of 64bit instruction sets (which may execute faster) or make full use of >=4GB of RAM (but the MBP isn't compatible with that in the first place anyway). -
Apple says:
General requirements
Intel Core 2 Due
* Mac computer with an Intel processor
* 1GB of memory
* 5GB of free disk space
* DVD drive for installation
* Some features require a compatible Internet service provider; fees may apply.
* Some features require Apple’s MobileMe service; fees and terms apply.

The problem really comes with the OpenCL graphics...and the GPU on that MBP. -
The Core 2 Duo is just a picture. The MBP should work fine with 10.6

So what happens to individuals with non-intel Macs? They need to buy new ones to use snow leopard?
