Right now I'm a PC user and I'll be switching to a MBP soon.

I have some songs on my PC that I bought from the ITUNES STORE, is it easy to transfer those songs to the MBP? Do I need to convert the files or something?

My PC is formatted with NTFS if that helps.

They will transfer just fine. No need to reformat. The only thing you will need to do is authorize iTunes in your new computer to listen to them.

That's awesome!!! I can just burn a CD with my songs and another CD with WORD/EXCEL on my PC and then just copy it into my MAC?

I would suggest doing a back up to disc (look in the iTunes menu). If you burn the music from iTunes it's going to convert them to MP3. Don't forget to de-authorize your old computer. Burning a disc with your docs should work just fine.

BTW, it's Mac not MAC. ;)

On your Mac, selct not to sync with your iPod when its connected. Authorize your MBP to use the songs, then upload them from your iPod. It's really easy.

you can copy your word and excel documents, but not word and excel the programs.

when you get your mbp, i highly reccomend installing boot camp (with ntfs file system) and then setting up vmware fusion

unless of course, you want to go cold turkey.

IMHO I would recommend going cold turkey. That's what I did when I left Windows. I switched when there were just single booting PPC Macs. Unless it's absolutely necessary it's sort of a copout for bootcamp or parallels to be a deal maker. I know some people have specific needs like gaming but other than that many of the same programs are on the Mac OS and Windows. The OP only mentioned about be concerned about their songs not specific programs.
